Was the scientific method created by Christians?

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" Proverbs 9:10
The scientific method was a great achievement for everyone. It was developed over the centuries, combining the rationalism of Ancient Greece and the mathematical advances of Islamic scholars, and was formalized by Francis Bacon (considered the father of the scientific method) and the Frenchman René Descartes. Both were Christian religious figures. Descartes was Catholic and Francis Bacon was Anglican.
Therefore, the scientific method was not the work of Christians alone, but of different people and religious contexts. However, Christians played a fundamental role in its development, such as the scientists mentioned. Francis Bacon introduced the experimental method, and Descartes stated that reason comes before the senses.
The scientific method is a way of studying the world and people based on experimentation. It differs from philosophy, which is based more on observation. The development of the scientific method shows us that it is possible to have a good relationship between faith and science. Many scientists were also men of God.
